Description

To help slow the spread of COVID-19, the CDC recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain (e.g., grocery stores and pharmacies) especially in areas of significant community-based transmission.

As face coverings will likely be the new norm for quite some time in America and the world, we decided to make a limited run on some fun LivingTesla neck gaiters. These feature our Pacific Coast Highway graphic, originally inspired by the iconic drive that connects our homes in the Central Coast to the Tesla Factory in Fremont. Now, it’s a scenic drive we can take while social distancing in our Teslas.

These gaiters are a lightweight stretch fabric tube with hems on the top and bottom. They are lightweight and comfortable for prolonged wear. This is our preferred face covering for intermittent use, but that’s always readily available.

Proceeds will be used to support our Frontline Health Workers through our COVID-19 support program, AutoShield – Face Shields for hospitals and Professionals.

Grab one for yourself and follow us on Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook to snag another color or one for a friend during one of our giveaways.

Disclaimer: These gaiters are for general use while out in public and are not intended for use in medical settings. LivingTesla makes no guarantees, either expressed or implied, that the gaiter prevents infection or the transmission of viruses, diseases, or other harmful pathogens.

Care

Wash your neck gaiter before the first use and after each use.

The preferred washing method is to simply use your washing machine, and then place in the dryer (use the “high heat” setting). It is recommended to wash in a garment bag so straps do not get tangled or pulled.

Other ways to wash your gaiter include: put the mask in an oven set at 158-degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes; or suspend the gaiter over a pot of boiling water for 10 minutes. However, using your washer and dryer is the preferred method in all cases.

Proper Wear

Putting on:
With clean hands, grab the gaiter and pull it over your head and down to your neck. Find the top opening and pull it up over your nose. Ideally, the “social distancing” phrase should be on your right cheek.

Wearing:
Just as you would avoid touching your face, be sure to not touch the front of the gaiter.

Removing:
With clean hands, grab the gaiter on the sides of your head and pull it up and over. See the “Care” tab on how to wash and care for your gaiter when it is not in use. Wash your hands immediately after removing your gaiter.
